What a token is
The same tokens the model counts — prompt plus completion, across the whole run including
anything a delegated specialist did. Read that total from GET /v1/runs/{runId}: the live stream reports the
coordinator’s own turn only, so it is the run, not the stream, that you attribute spend
from. See Usage.
What happens at the limit
Each plan has a monthly token allowance. A run that would start over it is refused before
the first byte streams, with a 403 entitlement-required ProblemDetails naming the limit; a run already under way is not stopped by it. See Usage.
